Cocker Spaniel Robbed!
Cocker Spaniel Robbed!

The Labrador retriever holds its 22-year reign as America’s top dog. The American Kennel Club’s annual ranking of most popular dog breeds shows Labradors in the lead, with other large dogs moving up and once-popular smaller breeds such as the Yorkshire terrier and the miniature poodle losing some ground.

… The No. 2 in popularity was the German shepherd, followed by the golden retriever and the beagle, which swapped the third and fourth spots from last year’s rankings.

… The Top Ten:

Labrador Retriever
German Shepherd
Golden Retriever
Beagle
Bulldog
Yorkshire Terrier
Boxer
Poodle
Rottweiler
Dachshund

The Cocker Spaniel has once again, been left off The American Kennel Club’s most popular dog breeds top 10 list. It’s fair to say, The Grisher King was none too happy when I broke the news to him!
