Nineteen-year-old Atlantic Records’ multi-talented performer, musician, writer and producer Hunter Hayes was recently named CMT’s “Next Big Thing.” He just released a brand new video for his new single “Storm Warning” and he’s gearing up to hit the road with Taylor Swift later this year. Blake Shelton is going to release yet another disc - on July 12th.  The release will include Shelton's fastest rising single to date, Honey Bee. One week after its debut, the song sold more than 138,000 digital singles, a number unmatched lately by any country male soloist. Beginning, tonight (Tuesday), Shelton will join superstars Christian Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine as a coach on NBC's "The Voice."

 

Yesterday they announced the nominees for Breakthrough Video of the Year for this year's "CMT Music Awards".  They'll roll out the rest of the nominees tomorrow morning on "The Today Show".

And the nominees are….

It's been almost a year since the devastating Nashville floods temporarily closed the Grand Ole Opry.  So on May 3rd, the Opry will mark the one-year anniversary with a special show featuring Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, the Charlie Daniels Band, Luke Bryan, and more. 

 

RONNIE DUNN announced that his solo album debut . . . with the imaginative title of "Ronnie Dunn" . . . will drop June 7th.  You can check out the album's cover and track list here.

He was 87.

Ray Price's widow refused to leave her house for four months in the aftermath of her husband's death.
