Country Music Star Named Goodwill Ambassador

It’s been more than a year since the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., that claimed the lives of 26 people on December 14th, 2012.

In light of the tragedy, the 12.14 Foundation was formed to use the performing arts as a way to help the community heal. Their goal is to build a performing arts center to create a remembrance and express hope for the future. The organization has named country music’s own Scotty McCreery to be their National Goodwill Ambassador.
