Tim McGraw’s New Video Has An Important Message In It

It’s no secret that I adore Tim McGraw and his music. I’m also proud of Tim for taking an opportunity to show a very important message in his latest video for “ Highway Don’t Care”. In the video, Tim plays a doctor who treats a young woman who has an accident because she was texting and driving. As the mother of two, I am terrified of my child having an accident period. But as you know, cell phones are part of our world. Texting and Driving should NOT be. Please watch this video with your family. I can’t help but think that in this video Tim was thinking of his own daughters. I know I have been guilty of getting on to my girls when they don’t text me right back. But I have also discussed don’t text while you’re driving. So, maybe it’s time for a second round talk about just that.  Tell your kids its okay to wait to text you back when they are in a position to do it. Not behind the wheel.  And parents, set a good example and don’t text while you are driving either. Nothing is more confusing to a child to hear us say one thing and do another. This is important. It’s a safety issue for everyone on the road. Be safe! Arrive Alive! Don’t Text and Drive! Watch the video here and feel free to share.
