Welcome Home Members Of The 1039th Engineer Company

Welcome Home Members Of The 1039th Engineer Company
For nearly a year, I’ve had the honor of saluting members of our military by playing our National Anthem and mentioning soldiers names. Many of those soldiers are part of the 1039th Engineer Company. Today, instead of saying ” Hurry Home” I… get to say ” WELCOME HOME”.  Over the past year, I’ve become acquainted with many of the wives whose husbands were deployed.  They too, made a big sacrifice. They took on the role of Mom AND Dad, many of them learned to do things they didn’t think they could do, but they did.  Be proud ladies. I’m especially excited for those wives who will hand over their sweet babies to be held by their daddy’s for the first time. What an incredible day this will be.  Soak it up!  So happy for ALL of you! God Bless the 1039th and ALL of our military servicemen and women.See More

It ain't braggin' if you back it up, and James Brown, warts and all, was one of the most important musical and cultural figures of the 20th century.
