As if we needed more proof that sometimes people – like fine wine – just get better with age, Willie Nelson will pick up a fifth-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Gong Kwon Yu Sul this month.

The country star will receive his black belt two days before his 81st birthday.

Nelson will pick up his latest accolade during a ceremony in Austin, Texas on April 27.

He is also an expert in the martial arts of kung fu and tae kwon do.
