1037th Send Off 1/25/2010

About 200 soldiers who make up the 1037th unit of the 875th Arkansas National Guard have been training in Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin for their mission to begin soon in Afghanistan.  Anticipating their deployment, a group of dignataries and media from the Jonesboro area flew to Ft. McCoy on Monday, January 25 to visit with the men and women, wish them God speed and good luck on their mission.

Trey Stafford represented the Jonesboro Radio Group, along with Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin and Craighead County Judge Dale Haas representative L.M. Duncan.  Carl Mason of the VFW also attended, along with Brandi Hodges from KAIT and Saundra Sovick of the Jonesboro Sun and others.
