Tower crews worked feverishly Thursday to repair the flag pole on top of the City of Jonesboro’s new Municipal Building at the corner of Church and Huntington Streets. The building is known as the “old Mercantile Bank building.”
Mayor Harold Perrin had said his goal was to get the pole repaired and a new flag up in time for Memorial Day.
Friday morning, the flag could be seen waving as the sun was shining on Downtown Jonesboro. KAIT’s Downtown Weather Cam caught the flag from the top of the Jonesboro Radio Group building.
Jim Frigo made it to the top of the building to inspect the flag.
