City of Jonesboro adjusting sanitation routes due to Thanksgiving holiday

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Nov. 25, 2024 – Sanitation routes for the City of Jonesboro will be adjusted due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

During the week of Nov. 25 – Nov. 29, sanitation routes will continue as planned on Monday-Wednesday, however, there will be no collection Thursday and Friday. This is because offices for the City of Jonesboro will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.

Next week, the schedule will be adjusted as follows:

  • Monday, Dec. 2: Thursday route (regular)/4th Thursday recycling
  • Tuesday, Dec. 3: Friday route (regular)/ 1st Monday and 1st Tuesday recycling
  • Wednesday, Dec. 4: Monday and Tuesday route (regular) / 1st Wednesday recycling
  • Thursday, Dec. 5: Tuesday and Wednesday route (regular) / 1st Thursday recycling
  • Friday, Dec. 6: Thursday route (regular) / 1st Friday recycling
  • Saturday, Dec. 7: Friday route (regular)

“The Sanitation Department will be working on Saturday, Dec. 7 to ensure catching up from the holiday collections. Updates will be provided through city social media outlets,” a City of Jonesboro Facebook post read.
