BIRTHDAY:  October 28

FAMILY: Married to my best friend Jeff AKA “The Dude” since, well…  forever! We have two daughters, Kait and Abbey and two really cool grandsons Pearson and Hatcher.

MY RADIO HISTORY:  I started my radio career in 1989 working for the station I grew up listening to. My friends and I would slather on the suntan oil and iodine, work on our tan and listen to our favorite songs on KISR 93.7 in Fort Smith. I never dreamed at that time that radio would be where I would spend my career. I wanted to work in TV, but radio captured my heart. In the fall of 1990, I moved to Jonesboro to attend Arkansas State and started my full-time career in radio at KZ100. I hit a few frequencies over the years, but found my home at Jonesboro Radio Group in 1997.

FAVORITE MUSIC:  Asking me to list my favorite artists is like asking me to tell you why I love Christmas. I love the classics Haggard and Jones. I still get a funny feeling in my heart when I hear a song from Garth’s “No Fences” album. I’m a super fan of today’s country too, there are  just so many talented singer songwriters today; Jordan Davis, Luke Combs, Hardy, Lainey Wilson, and Kelsea Ballerini just to name a few.

MOVIES: Gone With The Wind and Sweet Home Alabama are my go to movies to curl up and watch over and over!

TELEVISION: I love finding period pieces to watch. If it’s set in England, I’m gonna watch it. I also love the Hallmark Christmas movies. My husband makes fun of the 6 plots that all Hallmark movies have, but I still love it. In today’s world, I prefer to look for happy endings.

ADDICTION: My grandsons are my obsession. They are so much fun, and I just can’t stop myself from treating them. It’s what Chi Chi does!

HOBBY: I love to bake! I love to read; the cliché’ beach reads are my favorite. I highly recommend Elin Hilderbrand novels. She inspired my love of lighthouses. All of her books are mainly set in Nantucket, which I plan to visit soon! I also love plants, and just siting on my back patio watching whatever Jeff’s cousin has planted in the 40 acres behind our house.

CHARITIES AFFILIATED WITH: I have been involved with the Make A Wish Foundation since 1999 when I helped organize the Have A Heart Wish A Thon. I am an active wishgranter, fundraiser and a Make A Wish Ambassador. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro, where I was honored to be named a Paul Harris Fellow.

FAVE APPS: I know I’m not supposed to love TikTok because it’s supposedly for young people, but I learn so many things on that app. Need a dinner idea because you have a pound of ground beef? Consult the Tik Tok. Need a cute hairstyle for dirty hair? TikTok! LOL I love Facebook until its political season, then it becomes a sea of nonsense and bickering behind a keyboard and then I’m out. But I do love sharing photos of my super cute grands and trips Dude and I take.

MEMORABLE ON AIR MOMENT: Every Have A Heart Wish A Thon has a special moment for me! There was this one time when country star Tracy Lawrence came to support our event, he said he’d give us a $500 donation, but he wanted to kiss me! I called my husband and said… “ It’s for charity!” ( It was just a peck!) My husband still turns off any Tracy Lawrence song if we’re in the car together. LOL

COOLEST CELEBRITIES I’VE MET: I have been blessed to meet so many cool artists over the years, but my top 3 would be Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Sammy Hagar! Yep, you read that right. When Sammy took over for David Lee Roth in Van Halen, I was hooked, still am today!

FAVE DRINK:  Non Alcoholic would Iced Blondie from 7 Brew – Alcoholic would definitely be a Lemon Drop.

FAVE RESTAURANTS: All locally owned restaurants are on my list. I support LOCAL!

PET PEEVE:  People who think their time, money and energy are more important than others. True story… YOU AREN’T!

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN:   Let Go and Let God!
