Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 13, 2024- Gamble Home Furniture donated over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to four local school districts across Northeast Arkansas as part of its annual BackPack Drive.

The donations were made to Nettleton Elementary School in Jonesboro, the Searcy School District, Batesville School District, and Blytheville School District through Ashley locations in those areas.

The BackPack Drive is a longstanding tradition for Gamble Home Furniture, taking place each year as students prepare for back-to-school season. Community members are invited to participate by donating new backpacks, shoes, and school supplies in exchange for exclusive discounts at Gamble Home stores.

Chris Gamble, owner of Gamble Home Furniture, expressed his gratitude for the community’s participation and the impact the program has on local students.

“Our giveback programs are a huge part of who we are. We love our communities and try to leave them better off than how we found them. We strive to make this program bigger every year because we are aware of the needs in our local schools.”

Teachers from the recipient schools shared their appreciation for the donations, noting that they often have students who relocate unexpectedly and arrive at school without necessary supplies.

“Some teachers have used their own income to provide these items in the past, so they greatly appreciate having these donations on hand,” said a representative from Nettleton Elementary. “These backpacks and supplies give students the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.”

Gamble Home Furniture plans to continue its BackPack Drive in the coming years as part of its ongoing mission to support local communities. For more information on Gamble Home Furniture and its community giveback programs, visit www.shopgambles.com.
