Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 30, 2024 – A Jonesboro man registered as a level 3 sex offender has been charged with failing to comply with registration requirements.

On Oct. 28, a Jonesboro police officer went to 2517 Duncan Road to conduct a sex offender registry compliance check on 34-year-old Hank Crawford, as it was his registered address. Crawford is a level 3 sex offender, meaning the offender has a history of repeat sexual offending. In 2016, Crawford was convicted of transportation of a minor in interstate commerce with intent to engage in sexual activity, according to court documents.

When the officer arrived on scene, Crawford’s door was found forced open. He cleared the residence and found no one inside.

The officer made contact with Crawford’s sister-in-law, who is also his neighbor. She said he had been kicked out of his home about a month ago and she had not seen him since. She added that she didn’t know where he was now staying.

According to the probable cause affidavit, as of Oct. 28 Crawford has failed to contact JPD to update his residence status and it is unknown where he is living.

Crawford is charged with one count of failure to register – failure to comply with reporting requirements.

He is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center. He was given a court date of Dec. 17 at 8:30 a.m. and a bond of $75,000 cash or surety. The bond includes an ankle monitor.
