Man shot while entering bedroom window

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 30, 2024 – A man was reportedly shot Friday while attempting to enter his ex-girlfriend’s bedroom through the window.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 19-year-old Montrayvise Finley tried to enter his ex-girlfriend’s bedroom window without her permission. While trying to enter, a male victim inside the house shot Finley once, after which Finley fled in his vehicle.

Jonesboro police later found Finley on Beacon Street where he had a gunshot wound.

In a Mirandized interview, Finley told Jonesboro police he banged on the victim’s door several times, then opened the window and stuck part of his body through before being shot. He also told officers he did not live at the victim’s home.

Finley received medical treatment and then was taken into custody.

He is charged with one count of aggravated residential burglary. He was given a court date of Oct. 28 at 8:30 a.m. and a bond of $150,000 c/s and a no-contact order with the victims.
