Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 3, 2024 – Nettleton School District announced a new resource for third through twelfth-grade students earlier this week called the HELPme App.
This app is intended to provide an additional layer of support at Nettleton for those facing issues related to bullying, emotional struggles, social pressures and more.
According to Nettleton School District Director Campus Security and Truant Officer Jack Sample, the school district implemented the HELPme app in October as another tool for their students, families, and staff to ask for help with basic needs or mental health and share school safety concerns. Users can report issues anonymously if they choose.
“Nettleton School District is pleased to be able to offer this tool for our students and their families to connect with school and community resources,” Sample said. “HELPme conveniently combines access to community resources, mental health assistance, and school safety concerns into one platform where users can be anonymous if they wish.”

Within the HELPme app, there are three tabs users can click to get help: Get Resources, Crisis Text Line and Ask for Help.
The Get Resources tab gives students/families information concerning places to receive help with food insecurities, shelter and the local health department.
The Crisis Text Line tab connects the user with a crisis counselor who they can communicate by text.
The Ask for Help tab is a two-way text system that connects the user with a monitor who can help decipher the issue and route it to the appropriate school district resource who can help.
Students and families can download the app from the Apple and Google Play stores. There is a link published on the district website with an instructional video and download instructions.
