Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 3, 2024 – Drug Task Force agents were called to the UPS facility on Industrial Drive after discovering a suspicious package.

A K-9 partner gave a positive alert for narcotics in the package, so agents got a search warrant. The package was then opened and found to be sealed with spray foam to mask odor. There was a second box inside with two vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana which was later weighed at 1077 grams.

The package was from a person in California and addressed to a Jonesboro resident on Griffin Street. Agents re-sealed the package and delivered it to the address themselves.

A man known to agents as Tyler Williams came out of the apartment, picked the package up and went back into the apartment. Agents prepared another search warrant for the apartment. Tyler Williams was the only person there at the time of the search.

Agents located three dispensary packages that contained a total of 150 grams of marijuana, plus the marijuana that had just been delivered to the apartment. Williams was arrested and charged with possession and intent to deliver.

His bond was set at $25,000 and he was given a court date of Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
