Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 3, 2024 – A routine traffic stop this week lead to officials finding meth during a cavity search.
Tuesday, Jonesboro officers pulled over a Chevy Malibu for not having any license plate illumination. The driver was 42-year-old Sheila Flexon. She had a passenger, 37-year-old Juan Walton. Officers confirmed Walton to be on probation and they asked both of them to get out of the vehicle so they could conduct a search.
Officers located a Cheetos bag in the vehicle with a plastic bag with about half a gram of suspected cocaine in it. Both Flexon and Walton denied the bag was theirs.
Both were placed into custody and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center. There, during the intake search, booking officers found a little over five grams of suspected methamphetamine inside Flexon’s vaginal cavity.
Flexon is charged with possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams, one count of possession of meth or cocaine less than two grams, one count of furnishing, possessing or using prohibited articles, tail lamps and reflectors, and having no driver’s license. Walton is charged with possession of meth or cocaine less than two grams.
Walton’s bond was set at $25,000 c/s and Flexon’s was set at $10,000 c/s. Both have their next court date on Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
Flexon was released from the Craighead County Detention Center Oct. 2 at 8:20 p.m.
