Extreme Karaoke Battle

When
Feb 28th, 2025
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Where
115 E. MonroeJonesboroAR72401

When: Friday, Feb. 28th @ 7:00 pm

Where: The Forum Theater in downtown Jonesboro

What: A fun, community-wide karaoke contest which will serve as a fundraiser for the Foundation of Arts. Money raised will go towards the various Outreach Programs we offer, including Tuition Assistance (scholarships and work study for FOA art, theatre, or dance classes for families in need), Pay What You Can Performances (live theater for reduced ticket price), Educational Enrichment Series (low cost school matinees for area students, and LEAP (art and theater classes for Abilities Unlimited clients)

How it works: Your organization/place of business will nominate a representative to submit. This can be accomplished by whatever method best suits your needs. Depending on the size of workplace, we suggest sending out in-house messaging polling for all willing potential participants, then drawing a name or voting. We will accept solo, duet, or up to a trio of performers from any given business. Karaoke performances can be as simple or as intricate as you want. We encourage you to have FUN with it, so costumes/choreo/etc. are all welcome but not required. All that we ask is that your rep is a willing volunteer. We will provide a tech team for backing tracks and sound, lyrics on a screen, and an amazing light show to make you look your best! There will be no prior rehearsals to attend at the Forum (so be practicing on your own!) but participants will be given a time to arrive early the day of for run throughs and mic checks so that they feel prepared.

The cost to enter is $25 per performer. Once your business has selected your karaoke king/queen, simply reply to this email to provide the name(s), contact information, along with one song title/name of artist. Any genre is permitted so long as the song is suitable for all ages and does not exceed 3 minutes in length. Once we receive your response, we will reach out to provide the entry fee link and further details.

SPOTS ARE LIMITED and will be given on a first come, first served basis. Deadline to enter is Friday Feb. 7th at 5 pm (unless we meet our performer limit before then, in which case you will be notified that entries are closed early)

Event Info: Karaoke Battle performance admission is FREE but everyone is encouraged to invite co-workers, friends, and family to come ready to cheer them on (signs, t-shirts, all welcome to show support) and vote. $1= 1 vote. Voting will take place via QR code online or in our box office with cash/check/card. The more dollars your fan club brings, the better chances you have! We will market the event/participants, but also strongly encourage each business and individual to promote themselves! This is meant to be a friendly competition, so be sure to keep it that way! The votes will be tallied at the end of the event. In the case of a tie, there will be a “blind” round with a song of the FOA’s choosing. 😉

Prize: Grand Prize includes bragging rights, a plaque, and two ’25-’26 Forum Theater Season Ticket packages. Additional prize info coming soon!

Questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out! You can email me at meridith@foajonesboro.org or reach me by calling 870-935-2726. I can’t wait to hear from you and hopefully see you soon on the Forum stage! 🤩
