Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 1, 2025 – A Jonesboro man is being held on a $150,000 cash/surety bond after police said he shared child sexual abuse material on his social media.

According to an affidavit, on Sept. 19, Jonesboro police received a cybertip from Arkansas State Police that a video was shared on Snapchat of a nude child sitting on a bed with a nude man. In it, the man exposed himself to the child and touched the child inappropriately. Another video showed a man having sex with another child.

Police said the account was found to have belonged to 25-year-old Austin Hunter Deatherage, with the associated phone number, email address, and IP address returning to him. A search warrant revealed the two original videos, as well another video of a man having sex with two children.

Deatherage was arrested by Jonesboro police at 8 p.m., Sept. 30, according to the online jail roster.

On Oct. 1, Deatherage appeared before District Judge David Boling, who found probable cause to charge him with possession or use of child sexual abuse material. In addition to the $150,000 bond, Deatherage was ordered not to have any devices that can connect to the Internet or a cellular network.

Deatherage is scheduled to be back in court Nov. 25.
