Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A Jonesboro man is being held on a $1 million cash/surety bond after police said he raped a victim on multiple occasions.

According to an affidavit, on Nov. 17, Jonesboro police officers responded to an address regarding a sexual assault. There, they met the victim and a witness.

The victim told officers that they and 18-year-old Bryan Matthew Mills were watching a movie in bed when Mills began inappropriately touching them. The victim pushed Mills’s hands away, but he continued, the affidavit said.

Mills began to have sex with the victim. The affidavit said the victim “gave up” resisting after refusing sexual activity with Mills after an hour.

The witness said they confronted Mills about the incident, with Mills telling the witness he was aware the sexual activity was not consensual, police said.

According to the affidavit, the victim explained to officers that this was the third time Mills had non-consensual sex with them, with the two other instances happening earlier this year.

“[The] witness advised that [the] victim decided to proceed with reporting the unwanted sexual activity after confiding in him,” the affidavit said.

Mills was arrested and booked into the Craighead County Detention Center at 1:25 a.m., according to the online jail roster.

Several hours later, Mills appeared before District Judge David Boling, who found probable cause to charge Mills with rape, which is a class Y felony. In addition to his bond, Mills was ordered to have no contact with the victim and must wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release.

Mills’ next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2026.
