2025-26 women’s basketball Sun Belt Conference schedule announced

Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Aug. 7, 2025 – The 2025-26 conference schedule for Arkansas State women’s basketball is set, as the Sun Belt Conference announced the 18-game slate on Thursday.

The docket features nine home and nine away contests along with home matchups against three teams with 20-plus wins in 2024-25. A-State finished last season with a 15-3 record in league play and claimed its first Sun Belt Conference Tournament title with an 86-79 overtime victory against top-seeded James Madison in the championship game.

The Red Wolves begin their championship defense with a two-game homestand, hosting ULM on Dec. 17 and South Alabama on Dec. 20. A New Year’s Day matchup against Southern Miss opens a four-game road trip that continues at ULM (Jan. 3) and South Alabama (Jan. 8) before concluding at WNIT runner-up Troy (Jan. 10).

A-State hosts Louisiana (Jan. 15), Southern Miss (Jan. 17), and Old Dominion (Jan. 21) before facing WBIT participant James Madison in a 2025 SBC Tournament Championship rematch on Jan. 24 inside First National Bank Arena. January concludes with contests at Georgia State (Jan. 29) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 31).

A stand-alone home game versus Coastal Carolina (Feb. 4) opens February while three road games at Marshall (Feb. 14), Texas State (Feb. 18), and Louisiana (Feb. 21) highlight the middle of the month. The Scarlet and Black conclude the regular season with home matchups versus Troy (Feb. 24) and Texas State (Feb. 27).

The 2026 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held from March 3-9 inside the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, FL.
