Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – Arkansas State basketball’s TJ Caldwell and Jaxon Ellingsworth were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men’s Basketball team on Tuesday.

Both players were selected for the first time in their collegiate careers, and it is the first time the program has produced multiple selections in a single year. The Red Wolves have recorded an honoree over the last four seasons dating back to Avery Felts’ first selection in 2022-23.

Ellingsworth boasts a 3.72 cumulative grade-point average and posted 9.7 points on a 47.3 shooting percentage alongside 4.8 rebounds. The forward registered 15-double digit performances on the scoreboard and led the team in rebounds five times during the 2025-26 campaign.

Caldwell secured a 3.60 grade-point average and tallied 9.4 points per game on a 39.1 shooting percentage and dished 31 assists while swiping 25 steals. The Dallas native led the Scarlet and Black in points six times during the season and surpassed double digits in 14 contests.

Both players helped guide A-State to a third consecutive 20-win season that included a program-record nine road victories. In 2025-26, the Red Wolves are one of two teams nationally to win 20-plus games despite fielding no returning players from the year prior.
