Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – Freshman thrower Omar Hussein is set to compete at the World Athletics U20 Championships on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Hayward Field in Eugene, OR.
The St. Louis native will compete in the men’s shot put, beginning with the qualification round at 1:15 p.m. (CT). The men’s shot put final is scheduled to take place at 7:45 p.m. (CT).

Hussein threw for a distance of 20.97m (68-9.75) to take gold in the at the U20 Outdoor Championships on June 20, besting 25 contestants and shattering his in-season personal best of 18.72m (61-5.00) recorded at the NCAA West First Rounds.
