Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A Jonesboro man on probation faces several felonies after agents said a search of his home revealed multiple items, including a loaded pistol and evidence of drug trafficking.

District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause on Dec. 5 to charge 35-year-old Alan Terrell Triggs with the following:

  • Class Y Felony: Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Class B Felony: Possession of a firearm by certain persons (prior violent felony with a deadly weapon/firearm used in another incident)
  • Class D Felony: Possession of a Schedule I or II substance that is not meth or cocaine, less than two grams
  • Class D Felony: Possession of a Schedule VI substance with the purpose to deliver
  • Class D Felony: Possession of drug paraphernalia

According to the affidavit, on Dec. 3, an agent was near Matlock Drive when he saw Triggs driving a gray Dodge Charger and pulling up to an apartment where he stayed for approximately five minutes. Triggs was confirmed to have a suspended driver’s license and was on felony probation out of Forrest City for drug violations.

Agents with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force followed Triggers before a traffic stop was conducted on him on Parker Road near Prosperity Drive. During the stop, agents found paperwork that indicated Triggs lived at a home in the 4700 block of Morton Drive. The affidavit said the agent contacted the rental company and confirmed Triggs was still living there and paid the rent.

A probation search was conducted at the Morton Drive home, where agents found the following items:

  • 62 grams of marijuana
  • 48 grams of THC wax
  • Packaging baggies
  • A digital scale with marijuana residue on it
  • A pill bottle containing three ecstasy pills
  • A Polymer P80 9mm pistol loaded with 18 rounds

Triggs is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash/surety bond, awaiting his next scheduled court appearance on Jan. 23, 2026.
