Caraway, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 20 – A Jonesboro man was given a $250,000 cash/surety bond after police said they found large quantities of drugs and numerous firearms inside his home.

On Sept. 18, the Jonesboro Internet Crimes and Children division and the Jonesboro Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the home of 43-year-old Blaine Goodman Morgan in the 400 block of West State Street in Caraway. The warrant was related to a possession of child sexual abuse materials investigation.

The affidavits aid officers found three phones. It also said marijuana, pills and firearms could be seen in plain view. As a result, another search warrant was secured.

During the additional search warrant, officers found the following items:

  • 126 Hydrocodone pills (a Schedule II controlled substance)
  • Two Clonazepam pills (a Schedule IV controlled substance)
  • Three grams of meth
  • Multiple packages and jars, and a bag of marijuana, totaling 64 grams
  • 12 firearms, some of which were loaded, along with ammo being found scattered in the home

District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause Sept. 19 to charge Morgan with the following:

  • Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Possession of meth or cocaine with the purpose to deliver greater than two grams but less than 10 grams
  • Possession of a Schedule I or II substance that is not meth or cocaine with the purpose to deliver
  • Possession of a Schedule VI substance with the purpose to deliver
  • Possession of a Schedule IV or V substance with the purpose to deliver

In addition to the $250,000 bond, Fowler ordered Morgan wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release. He added that Morgan could face charges out of federal court as there was an allegation that he picked up drugs in Missouri and distributed them in Arkansas.

Morgan’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 30.
