ARDOT to Celebrate Grand Opening of Northeast Arkansas Satellite Office

Craighead County, AR – Contributed – The public is invited to join Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials, elected officials, and community stakeholders at 1 p.m. Friday, April 3, in Jonesboro to celebrate the grand opening of the ARDOT Northeast Arkansas satellite office.

“By establishing a stronger regional presence in Northeast Arkansas, we can work more efficiently with local partners and better recruit and retain local talent,” ARDOT Director Jared D. Wiley said.  “This office will help ARDOT advance its mission to deliver a modern transportation system to enhance quality of life in every region of the state.”

The new office is located at 600 S. Main Street in downtown Jonesboro and will function primarily as a design office.

An open house will be held for Arkansas State University students from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the new office. Students will have the opportunity to meet professional engineers and learn about career opportunities in transportation, engineering, planning, and public service.
