Arkansas State Baseball Signs Three Recruits to 2026 Signing Class

Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Arkansas State baseball head coach Mike Silva announced the signing of three players for the 2027 season on Wednesday.

JUCO prospect Harrison Engskov, brother of Patrick Engskov, and high school players Clayton Kline and Keaton Mathis are the first signees that will join the team for the 2027 season.

Engskov will join the Red Wolves from by way of Three Rivers College. The switch-hitting utility player spent the summer with the Flag City Sluggers in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, where he batted .346 for 32 RBIs and 78 total bases. The Little Rock Christian Academy product led the league in total bases and runs scored (38), earning the Gary Henschen GLSCL Player of the Year. He will play the 2026 season with the Raiders before joining the Red Wolves in the fall.

Kline is a switch-hitting infielder from Chaffee, New York, and will join Arkansas State from TNXL Academy. He played travel ball with the NY Stingers.

Catcher and Jonesboro native Keaton Mathis will play for Arkansas State after graduating from Valley View High School. In his junior year, he batted .402 for 45 hits, and 37 RBIs, while also pitching in 15 games for 54 innings and a 1.69 ERA.
