Arvest Foundation Awards $5K Grant to Single Parent Scholarship Fund

Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $5,000 grant to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund.

The grant will fund scholarships for single parents in Craighead, Baxter and Boone counties.

Scott Copeland, president of Arvest Bank – North Arkansas, and Kevin Hufstedler, community bank president of Arvest Bank – Jonesboro, presented the check to Shaila Creekmore, development officer of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund. They were joined by Arvest associates Teresa Roche, private banker, and Terri Coleman, sales coordinator.

“We’re thrilled to present these funds to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund on behalf of the Arvest Foundation,” said Copeland. “This organization is making a huge impact for parents who are working hard to earn degrees and support their families, and it’s exciting to help make a difference in their lives.”

“We’re so appreciative of this donation to our program to support students in Baxter, Boone, and Craighead counties,” said Creekmore. “Arvest Bank and the Arvest Foundation are great partners to the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund and help every year in a variety of ways, including teaching financial skills workshops for our students. This donation will go directly to scholarship support for three full-time students.”
