Battles of the Badges Blood Drive Returns to Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Jonesboro citizens are invited to support their favorite public safety departments, all while donating to a good cause.

The Battle of the Badges blood drive has returned this year. When participants donate blood, they tell event organizers which department they are supporting: the Jonesboro Police Department or the Jonesboro Fire Department. The department that receives the most donations in its name wins bragging rights for that year.

This year’s blood drive will take place Monday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the North Room of the Earl Bell Community Center, located at 1212 S. Church St. Additionally, while supplies last, donors will be emailed a Fandango Movie Reward.

“While the Battle of the Badges will determine this year’s bragging rights, the real winners are the patients whose lives are saved by every blood donation,” said a City of Jonesboro Facebook post announcing the drive.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code: CityofJonesboro.
