Bono, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Bono woman is being held on a $100,000 bond after authorities said she failed to register as a sex offender following a recent sentencing amendment.

Jami Catherine Luckett, 38, was arrested Feb. 17 and appeared before District Judge David Boling the following day. Boling found probable cause to charge her with failure to register or comply with reporting requirements, a Class C felony.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office, the charge stems from a sentencing order issued earlier this month.

Court documents state that Luckett was originally sentenced on Feb. 3, 2025, for permitting abuse of a child. That sentencing order was subsequently amended, now requiring that Luckett register as a sex offender.

One year later, Luckett met with Probation Officer Kristy Garner. Garner informed Luckett of the new requirement and told her that she had five days to report to the sheriff’s office to complete the registration.

By Feb. 9, Sergeant Mandi Smyth was notified by Garner that Luckett had not appeared for registration. Smyth confirmed that Luckett had neither reported to the sheriff’s office within the mandatory five-day window nor made any attempt to contact the sheriff’s office regarding the order.

Luckett was arrested at 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 17, the online jail roster shows. She is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond, awaiting her next scheduled court appearance on March 20.
