Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 1, 2025 – Shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday a local area resident will have won a brand-new vehicle.

The “Drive Away in a Santa Fe” giveaway is a ten-week promotion sponsored by Cavenaugh Hyundai, Sonic Drive-In and the radio stations of the Jonesboro Media Group.

The grand prize is a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV valued at over $41,000, sales tax paid.

Since late July the six radio stations of the Jonesboro Media Group have been broadcasting two-hour “text windows.” During the text windows a keyword is repeated. Listeners are told to text the keyword to a phone number (43414). Listeners receive a text message back inviting them to the Grand Finale this Saturday at Cavenaugh Hyundai, 3315 Stadium Blvd, Jonesboro.

On Saturday, the listeners who have the text message invitation will show that invitation to organizers along with their Arkansas, Missouri or Tennessee photo driver’s license. That along with being at least the minimum age of 18 will earn the listener a “VIN to Win” number.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, ten “VIN to Win” numbers will be drawn. Each person will receive a Sonic bag containing a Sonic cup. Nine of the cups will contain a $100 bill. One cup will contain the key fob for the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, and that person will be designated as the winner.

“This is our 26th year to partner with Sonic and the Jonesboro Media Group for this promotion,” said Matt Cavenaugh. “The ten-week promotion is a way for our company to dominate the radio for a big part of the summer. But the event itself is a great way for us to thank our existing customers and meet potential new customers for our dealerships.”

Saturday’s event isn’t just about winning the new vehicle. There will be live music starting at 9 a.m. featuring the band Greasy Tree. The Jonesboro Media Group remote team will prepare over 800 all-beef hot dogs with chips and Pepsi products iced down cold with Watson Ice. Frozen treats from Prairie Farms will also be served, all free while supplies last.

Listeners are invited to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the music and the chance to see friends.

“This has been another great promotion for our media group as well as our promotion partners,” said Trey Stafford, President/General Manager of the Jonesboro Media Group. “We have over 15,000 texts received from listeners who would love to win this new Hyundai Santa Fe.”

In addition to the vehicle the promotion partners are giving away $5,900 cash. “We will have had ten weekly $500 winners when the promotion is over, plus nine of the ten finalists on Saturday will take home a crisp new $100 bill,” Stafford said.

There is one two-hour text window left for listeners who have not yet texted to do so. The final window is Friday from 3-5 p.m. Listeners should listen to radio stations 104.9 The Fox, 100.5 The Eagle, Mix 106.3, Hot 107.5, 98.5 The Outlaw, or EZ 92.7 to hear the keyword and text to 43414. When the text is sent, the listener should receive a text back inviting them to Saturday’s giveaway event.

Complete contest rules are available here.

Chris Young of Jonesboro won last year’s “Maverick and Money Sweepstakes” promoted by Cavenaugh Ford, Sonic and the Jonesboro Media Group.
