Caraway, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Caraway woman is behind bars after police said she allegedly presented a school resource officer with a fake custody order in an attempt to interfere with court-ordered custody.

On Oct. 9, a school resource officer was requested to handle a court order paperwork issue involving a parent, identified as 36-year-old Ashley Jordan Davis.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Davis presented the officer with documentation she claimed was from the Dunklin County, MO circuit court. The paperwork purported to grant her “100% sole physical custody” and included an order of protection from the legal guardian, dated Oct. 8, 2026, and bearing a judge’s signature.

The officer noted several immediate irregularities in the paperwork, including the absence of an official court file stamp. When the officer asked about the origins of the order, Davis claimed it was the result of a May 2025 incident in Arkansas. However, she informed the officer that no police or court documents were generated at the time of that incident to support her claim.

The affidavit said that to verify the documents, the officer contacted the Dunklin County Circuit Court. The circuit clerk confirmed that no such order had been granted on Oct. 8 and advised that the paperwork did not appear to be a standardly issued order.

The officer then sent the documents to Dunklin County officials for further review. They confirmed the order was not issued by their court, and a judge confirmed he had not signed the document.

Davis was taken into custody and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center as a result.

On Oct. 12, Davis appeared before District Judge Tommy Fowler, who found probable cause to charge her with two felonies: second-degree forgery (Class C) and criminal attempt (Class D). Her bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims in the case and wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release.

Davis’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 23.
