Crews Responding to Crash with Injuries on I-555, Helicopter on Scene

Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Crews are working a crash with injuries on I-555, according to Jonesboro E911 Dispatch.

Dispatch said the crash occurred near mile marker 35 on I-555 southbound, near the Bay exit. All southbound lanes are blocked.

The Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are working the crash. Capt. Matt Kirby with the sheriff’s office told JRN that a helicopter was on scene.

He added that the accident was a single vehicle rollover, and that a passenger had been partially ejected and was being transported to an area hospital via the helicopter. The driver was taken to the hospital via ground transportation, he said.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.
