Downtown Jonesboro roads to be closed for holiday events

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Roads in downtown Jonesboro will be temporarily closed Friday and Saturday for Christmas events.

According to a Facebook post from the City of Jonesboro, Main Street from Cate to Oak avenues, and Church Street from Cate to Washington avenues will close on Friday, Dec. 5, for the 78th annual Jonesboro Christmas Parade.

The closure will be from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition, the Bridge from Burke to Johnson avenues will close at 4 p.m.

Then, on Saturday, Dec. 6, Union Street from Huntington to Washington avenues will be closed for JoyFest. This closure will last from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Drivers are asked to plan accordingly for both closures.
