Downtown Jonesboro Roads to be Closed for Saturday Events

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Roads in downtown Jonesboro will be closed Saturday for multiple events.

The closures are for the Juneteenth Parade and NEA PRIDEfest, and all affected roads will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, June 13 to 1 a.m. Sunday, June 14, a City of Jonesboro Facebook post said.

The road closures are listed below:

  • Main Street from Washington to Cate avenues
  • Monroe Avenue from Union to Church streets
  • Huntington Avenue from Union to Church streets

“Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time when visiting the downtown area,” the post said. “Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we support a safe and successful community event.”

The Juneteenth Parade lineup will begin at 9 a.m. at St. Bernards Auditorium, located at 505 E. Washington Ave., and will start at 9:30 a.m. It will march down Washington Avenue before turning on Main Street, then on Cate Avenue and then to Bridge Street, before returning to the auditorium.

NEA PRIDEfest begins at 12 p.m. in downtown Jonesboro and continues through 9 p.m.
