Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 18, 2024 – Jonesboro police were called to a sandwich shop on South Caraway Road because a customer claims to have been assaulted by an employee.

The victim told officers that she had gone into the restaurant and ordered a sandwich, but this particular employee threw the sandwich at her, almost hitting her in the head. The investigating officer spoke to the employee, who said that the victim had ordered her food and a new employee was preparing the order and she was helping the new employee do it correctly. Apparently, the customer didn’t want the new girl working on her sandwich.

The situation escalated quickly. An argument started, nasty names were called, expletives were used, threats were made. “Get a life!” was a suggestion from the employee to the customer. “Your life isn’t worth anything because you work at Subway” was the response. At that point, the sandwich was ready to come out of the oven, but instead of wrapping it up, the employee allegedly threw it at the customer, almost hitting her in the face.
