Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – April 25, 2024 – The Foundation of Arts held a sneak peek event for sponsors and media yesterday afternoon to announce the upcoming 2024-2025 Season.

Kathryne Tarkington started the event by singing “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz. Anna Ganong teased the announcements by singing “A Spoonful of Sugar” from Marry Poppins and tenor Mat Carey, vocal professor from Arkansas State University, powered through “Oh, What A Beautiful Morning.”

This year at the FoA, Jonesboro audiences will enjoy musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Sweeney Todd, and Mary Poppins, plus a secret show to be revealed soon. The Secret Garden, Miracle on 34th Street and the perennial favorite The Nutcracker will also grace the stage at The Forum Theater and Stage, Too in downtown Jonesboro.

The Foundation of Arts will feature three shows presented and starring kids! Mean Girls Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr. and 101 Dalmatians Kids. As well as FoA season specials and annual events, the Foundation will also host Breakfast with Ballerinas, Oasis Film Fest, Oasis Arts & Eats and the popular Spring Showcase.

“We’re thrilled to share this exciting season of theatre with the community. So many big titles and there’s truly something for everyone!” said Meridith Pierce, FoA Marketing Director. “I encourage people to take part in FOA programming. Audition for a show, help build a set, take a class, learn how to work a spotlight, assist with props or costumes, or buy a ticket and participate as an audience member. You will be so grateful you did, because creating is always a meaningful experience.”

Kristi Pulliam welcoming the crowd.

Starting in May, Stage, Too Weekends programming will feature live music (First Fridays at the FOA, FOA Originals Series, & more!), adult classes, and black box style productions.

More details and lineup are coming soon! Sponsorship opportunities, season tickets and more information can be found online at FoAJonesboro.org or call 870-935-2726.
