Highland man killed in Thursday morning crash in Craighead County

Craighead County, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 19, 2025 – A crash on State Highway 18/County Road 575 on Thursday morning resulted in the death of one person and another person being injured.

According to the accident report from Arkansas State Police, 64-year-old George Berg of Highland died in Thursday morning’s crash. He was driving a 2022 Subaru.

Travis Jones, 34, of Paragould, was driving a 2025 Jeep when it crossed the center line and collided with the Subaru. Jones was injured and taken to the hospital, the report said.
