Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 9, 2025 – Emergency responders were called to a house fire on Tuesday along the 1900 block of Alex Drive.

Jonesboro Fire Department battalion chief Jeremy Holler said the department received a call around 1 p.m.

“It’s still under investigation right now to figure out what the cause was, but it looks like the fire was centered in the garage area there and then extended into the attic,” Holler said, noting that most of the fire damage was in the garage itself, however there was a lot of smoke damage throughout the house.

He added that there were no injuries. Firefighters searched the house, but there was nobody home at the time, he said.
