Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Police arrested a Jonesboro man after they said he had sexually abused an underage victim over a period of several months earlier this year.

District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause Dec. 8 to charge 46-year-old Glen Michael Ray with two counts of rape (assault on an object/person less than 14 years old), and offensive relations with a child.

According to the affidavit, on Aug. 19, the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline received a referral related to a victim who had disclosed sexual abuse by a family friend. On Oct. 29, Lesley Faulker, of the Arkansas State Police’s Crimes Against Children Division, interviewed the child.

During the interview, the victim said Ray had been a friend of their parents during the time period that the abuse occurred. They said they were allowed to spend nights at Ray’s home.

The affidavit said the abuse started in February 2024 and continued for several months. Various sexual acts were disclosed by the victim to have occurred during this time.

The victim’s parents told police that Ray had unsupervised access to the victim for an extended period of time, and the victim had disclosed the abuse to them after the family had moved to another location.

Ray was arrested on Dec. 5 and booked into the Craighead County Detention Center after a bench warrant was put out for his arrest. He is being held on a $350,000 cash/surety bond. In addition, Fowler ordered Ray to have no contact with the victim.

Ray’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2026.
