Jonesboro Public Library to Host Back-to-School Programs

Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will celebrate the end of summer and the start of a new school year with back-to-school events in August.

The events will provide opportunities for students to connect with friends, enjoy activities, and get excited for the upcoming school year.

The Back-2-School Blast for teens will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Teens in grades 7 through 12, are invited to celebrate the end of summer with a gaming meetup in the TeenHub GameZone. Teens can enjoy video games, RPGs, trading cards, classic board games, and more while connecting with other teens.

The Back-to-School Chillout Foam Party will take place on Thursday, Aug. 6, on the library lawn. Pre-K through 2nd grade students will be hosted from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., followed by 3rd through 6th grade students from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants should bring a towel and prepare for a fun afternoon of foam-filled excitement before heading back to class. Andy’s Frozen Custard will also be joining the celebration by providing free ice cream for attendees.

These events are free and registration is not required.
