Craighead County, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 27, 2025 – Deputies arrested a level-two Jonesboro sex offender after they said he had been living at an unregistered address for more than six months.

According to an affidavit, on Sept. 24, Craighead County Sgt. Mandi Smyth was notified by probation and parole about address discrepancies involving 30-year-old Paden Michael McDougle.

Records showed he is registered at an address in the 2600 block of County Road 766, but McDougle reportedly told his probation officer he would stay at another address in the 1300 block of County Road 763.

Smyth asked McDougle if he had been staying at the County Road 763 address, to which he not only replied that he did for two nights, but he would stay at the County Road 766 address for one night. He told her that he was under the impression that as long as he didn’t stay five consecutive nights in a row, he could do it, the affidavit said.

Arkansas law requires offenders to report to the appropriate agency any residency or temporary domicile in which they will reside for a period of five or more consecutive days during a year. The affidavit said McDougle had been living at the County Road 763 location for six months.

The affidavit said a parole search of the County Road 763 address was conducted, during which deputies found McDougle’s daily medications and personal belongings, including clothing and personal hygiene items. Due to the findings and his confession, McDougle was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

On Sept. 26, McDougle appeared before District Judge David Boling, who found probable cause to charge him with failure to follow reporting requirements. McDougle was given a $750,000 cash/surety bond as a result.

McDougle is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 30.
