Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club to Display Flags for Armed Forces Day

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club is displaying flags across community businesses and buildings in recognition of Armed Forces Day.

This year, Armed Forces Day falls on Saturday, May 16. It recognizes U.S. Armed Forces members who are currently serving and was established in 1949.

The flag display is part of the club’s service project, which provides flags, poles and flag brackets to the community for $45 per year. Flags are displayed at least 10 times per year, including national holidays and special days, weather permitting.
