Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 10, 2025 – A Jonesboro woman faces a felony charge after police said a heated argument resulted in a victim being stabbed in the arm.

Jonesboro police officers were dispatched to the Links Apartments for a reported stabbing earlier this week. There, they found 22-year-old Alalia Cincere Farmer inside her apartment along with the victim. Farmer was taken to the police department for an interview, while the victim drove to the department for a separate interview.

In her interview, Farmer said she had been in a heated argument with her boyfriend that turned physical. During the incident, she grabbed two knives from the kitchen and slid them into the front of her pants. The affidavit said the argument continued until Farmer went outside and slashed all the tires on her boyfriend’s vehicle.

Farmer’s boyfriend then called the victim to pick him up and arrange for a tow truck to move the vehicle, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said upon arrival, Farmer approached the victim and grabbed a handful of the victim’s hair, pulled one of the knives from her waistband, and made a slicing motion going from over her head down onto the victim’s arm.

Officers described the wound as “a straight, fairly deep cut.” Video was also obtained of the incident from the tow truck driver, showing Farmer swinging the knife from behind her back and into the victim.

On Sept. 10, Circuit Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause to charge Farmer with second-degree battery with the purpose of causing injury with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. She was given a $75,000 cash/surety bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.

During the hearing, after telling Farmer’s bond, Halsey remarked that this could have resulted in an “execution” if Farmer “was successful.”

Farmer’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 30.
