Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Jonesboro resident is celebrating a big win after her number was called during a weekend giveaway event hosted by Jonesboro Media Group and Lucky’s Mattress and Furniture Outlet.

Linda Pendergrass was announced as the winner of a $5,000 shopping spree Saturday, holding the lucky number in her hand as Jonesboro Media Group personality Phil Jamison called it out in front of a crowd of several hundred attendees.

The giveaway capped off a four-week promotion in which listeners tuned in to participating stations, including 104.9 The Fox, 100.5 The Eagle, Mix 106.3 and Hot 107.5, for keyword announcements. Participants entered by texting those keywords for a chance to qualify for the grand prize drawing.

Saturday’s event drew a large crowd and featured a festive atmosphere, complete with free food from the stations’ “BFG Grill,” which served all-beef hot dogs, chips, and Pepsi products.

After the drawing, Pendergrass told Jonesboro Media Group’s Jim Frigo she already has plans for her winnings.

“She said she has her eye on new living room furniture,” Frigo noted.

This marks the third consecutive year Lucky’s Mattress and Furniture Outlet has partnered with Jonesboro Media Group on the popular shopping spree promotion, which continues to draw strong listener engagement and community turnout.
