Jonesboro’s Foundation of Arts to Present ‘Come From Away’ to Begin 40th Season

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – The Foundation of Arts (FOA) is preparing to kick off its 40th season in September, while also honoring first responders.

The FOA will open its 40th season with “Come From Away,” a play telling the true story of how Gander, Newfoundland, saw 38 planes diverted to its airstrip during the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

“Audiences will be inspired by this moving reminder that we are all part of a global family,” a news release announcing the show said.

As a special offer, on opening night, the FOA will be offering half-price tickets to first responders. Northeast Arkansas police, firefighters, E911, EMT/paramedics and veterans can show their ID at the Forum Box Office at the time of purchase to redeem.

The show schedule is below:

  • Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
  • Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. (Note: This is “Pay What You Can Night”)
  • Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.
  • Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.

All performances will be shown at the Forum Theater, located at 115 E. Monroe Ave. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the Forum Box Office. Ticket prices will vary based on the seat location selected.
