This week’s featured pets are Dale, one half of a dynamic dog duo who came to the shelter four days ago, and Augie, who is curious and ready to explore the world around him. Here are the Jonesboro Right Now Pets of the Week:

Meet Dale: The Energetic Half of the Duo

Dale is a 16-week-old male who came to the shelter four days ago with his brother, Chip. They’re both going to be large-sized mixes, and they’re up to date and healthy. Before being adopted, they’ll be neutered and microchipped.

Both are friendly – Dale is more energetic, while Chip is more of a cuddler – and both are ready for their furever homes!

How to adopt: For more details on taking the next steps to adopt, review the shelter’s guidelines here or fill out the online adoption application.

Meet Augie: A Curious Kitten

Augie is an 8-week-old domestic short hair kitten; he also came in four days ago with his mama, Agatha, and his three brothers. All are healthy, and Augie and his brothers are curious and playful. Once they find their furever families, they’ll be neutered and microchipped and ready to go!

How to adopt: For more details on taking the next steps to adopt, review the shelter’s guidelines here or fill out the online adoption application.

How You Can Help

If you are unable to adopt a pet at this time, you can still assist Dale and Augie by sharing this article on social media or sending it to friends and neighbors. Helping spread the word increases their visibility and helps connect them with potential adopters in Northeast Arkansas.

Additionally, through the end of July, NEAHS is participating in Bissell’s nationwide “Empty the Shelters” event, which means adoption fees are reduced for all eligible animals at the shelter.
