Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Bidders will soon have the opportunity to purchase tax-delinquent property across three Northeast Arkansas counties in a single event.

Tommy Land, Commissioner of State Lands (COSL), announced a regional land auction for Craighead, Mississippi, and Poinsett counties will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 2840 S. Caraway Road in Jonesboro. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m., with bidding officially commencing at 10:00 a.m.

The regional format allows prospective buyers to bid on properties across all three counties in one centralized location rather than attending separate county auctions.

“Regional auctions have been a popular and efficient adaptation,” Commissioner Land said. “Bidders can be at the sales for multiple counties at a single event.”

The auctions will be conducted alphabetically by county.

Details for Prospective Bidders

  • Catalog & Listings: A complete Public Auction Catalog—including auction dates, times, locations, and the full listing of available parcels—is available on the official Commissioner of State Lands website at www.cosl.org.
  • Preparation: Officials advise all potential bidders to thoroughly review the buyer’s guide and the state statutes governing tax-delinquent property sales on the website prior to attending the event.

For further inquiries regarding the event, the Commissioner of State Lands Office can be reached at 501-534-5252 or via email at areaves@cosl.org.
