Lane of Jonesboro Road Closed Due to Traffic Accident

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A westbound lane on a road in Jonesboro is closed to a traffic accident.

According to Jonesboro E911 dispatch, the westbound lane of Highland Drive near the Rains Street intersection is closed due to an accident. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Dispatch reported the wreck at 11:11 a.m.

The Jonesboro Police Department’s public information official, Sally Smith, told JRN a motorcyclist was making a right turn onto Highland and went into the path of a car. She said the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital via EMS and is in “serious condition.”
