The Life Strategies Counseling Center, located at 2200 E. Matthews Ave., will close Dec. 8, according to a spokesperson from company owner Optum Health. In addition, according to a tip received by JRN, all other Arkansas locations are set to close, including the locations in Paragould and Trumann. Optum Health has been contacted to provide further clarification and confirmation.

In a statement provided to JRN, the spokesperson said they regularly review their services, footprint, and staffing to keep healthcare as affordable as possible, adding they understand the impact decisions like these have on patients and communities.

“We are focused on supporting patients through this transition and providing resources to help them find high-quality providers,” the spokesperson said.

The statement goes on to say that affected staff members are being supported with job placement resources or alternative, suitable roles within the company.

JRN reached out to the Life Strategies Jonesboro office for a comment, but they declined to comment, referring JRN to Optum Health.

The Jonesboro location for Life Strategies Counseling of Arkansas was founded in 1994.
