Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — July 24, 2025 — Three area business groups today announced their 25th marketing partnership, rewarding a brand-new vehicle to a Northeast Arkansas resident.

Cavenaugh Hyundai, Sonic and the Jonesboro Media Group launched the “Drive Away in a Santa Fe” giveaway this morning. The ten-week promotion will conclude Saturday, Oct. 4 when an area resident wins a 2025 Santa Fe SUV with the sales tax paid. The total value of the vehicle is $41,774 (including sales tax paid).

In addition, each week during the promotion, an area resident will win $500 cash. A total of $5,000 cash will be given away.

“Our radio group has partnered with the Cavenaugh Auto Group and Sonic for 26 consecutive years to stage the Jonesboro market’s largest annual giveaway event,” said Trey Stafford, President/General Manager of the Jonesboro Media Group. “There’s no partnership with this kind of history in the country.”

Persons wanting to enter the contest are encouraged to listen to one of the six Jonesboro Media Group radio stations: 104.9 The Fox, 100.5 The Eagle, Mix 106.3, Hot 107.5, 98.5 The Outlaw or EZ 92.7.  The stations will be broadcasting “two-hour text windows” where a specific keyword will be announced.

Listeners will send a text with the specific keyword and receive a “bounce back text” to their phone. On Oct. 4, listeners will show their bounce back text at the “Drive Away in a Santa Fe” giveaway event to be held at Cavenaugh Hyundai’s new dealership location at 3315 S. Stadium Blvd.

“Each business in our group has its own reason for participating in the promotion,” Stafford said. “We (the radio group) use it to attract and retain listeners. Cavenaugh uses it for different reasons, this year to promote its beautiful new Hyundai dealership and to remind the market of the company’s community commitment. Sonic uses the promotion to drive brand awareness and promote specific summer specials.

Chris Young of Jonesboro won the group’s “Maverick and Money Sweepstakes” promotion in 2024, winning a 2024 Ford Maverick pickup truck, sales tax paid.

“We’ve had some great winners of some great vehicles over the years,” Stafford said. “We’ve given away trucks, cars, SUVs, vans. You name it. We even gave away a Chevy Corvette back in 2004!”
